India Smile filmfest awards Iran movie ‘Helmsman’

Iranian film ‘Helmsman’ has won an award at the Smile International Film Festival for Children & Youth in India.

Directed by Majid Esmaeili Parsa, the film grabbed the best directing award at the 14th edition of the festival.

The 85-minute movie is about Hassan, a boy who is trying to revive his father’s ship as a present for the man’s birthday.

Mehdi Mohajeri, Majid Deris, Yousef Khodaparast, Yousef Bakhtiari and Hamideh Moghadaszadeh star in the movie.

The movie has attended more than 20 domestic and international film festivals.
